3Dsurvey is an excellent tool for land surveyors, and generating contour lines is simple. This tutorial will guide you through the process of creating contour lines based on a digital surface model (DSM).
Calculating Contour Lines
First, ensure that your DSM is calculated. For this example, the grid cell size is 0.2 meters. To calculate contour lines:
- Click Calculate.
- Set the equidistance (e.g., 1 meter).
- Click Continue to generate the contour lines.
Viewing and Modifying the Contour Lines
Once calculated, you can view the contour lines through the DSM, Point Cloud, or DOF tabs. For additional modifications:
- Go to the Contour Lines tab.
- You can toggle the contour line heights on or off.
- Export the results in DXF or PDF format.
Exporting Contour Lines
The final export can be saved in PDF format, displaying the contour lines perfectly. It’s quick, easy, and efficient.
